Then we might have an exciting career for you as Senior Embedded System Engineer at Oticon Medical Cochlear Implants in Nice (South of France).

Oticon Medical is committed to improve the quality of life of profoundly deaf patients. For that, we develop implantable medical devices and surgical techniques to restore profound hearing loss. The primary focus of the group in Nice is the development of a cochlea prosthesis to restore hearing to kids suffering of inherited deafness, and to adults suffering of sensorial hear loss from age-related degeneration or accidents.

You bring the best Embedded Solutions to our products


In your new role, you will be part of a multicultural and multisite signal processing, audiology and firmware group. Thus, we expect you to be fluent in English.
Your primary responsibility is to bring the best on Embedded Architectures to our Cochlear Implant solutions.

There is a wide range of technical activities you will be involved in, but summed up, your main responsibilities can be divided into the following areas:

Development and support of our current and future Cochlear Implant products.
Propose and innovate on embedded architectures to achieve our feature roadmap
Use our medical SW development cycle, which complies with regulatory requirements, to implement, optimize, verify and document firmware solutions
Propose improvements on our processes (code review, configuration management, revision control, etc) as part of our philosophy of permanent improvement

Solid experience on embedded systems


In your new position, you will be working with highly advanced software medical devices. Thus, it is extremely important that you have at least 8 years of experience within the area of embedded systems. You have strong technical skills on:

Real time embedded system development and debugging
C coding and assembly language(s).
Test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer).
Code version control

As a person, you have a strong sense of integrity and a strong scientific focus. You possess good communication skills and you understand the value of teamwork.
We expect you to hold an embedded system (or related sciences) degree from a recognized school.
